TRANSPARENT INTERACTIVE DISPLAY

This project explored the potential of transparent interactive display technology within premium retail environments, particularly for high-value product presentation in department stores.

The concept combined physical product display with a touchscreen interface, allowing customers to rotate items on a turntable while interacting with layered digital content. Powerful top-mounted lighting illuminated the product, while transparent visual overlays and sound enabled shoppers to explore craftsmanship, materials and brand stories without obscuring the item itself.

By merging physical presence with interactive media, the display created a richer, more immersive product experience—bridging the gap between traditional window display and digital storytelling. The approach was well suited to luxury retail, where product detail, theatre and controlled interaction are critical.

The concept was demonstrated through a premium handbag installation at Harrods, showing how transparent interfaces can elevate in-store engagement for luxury brands.
